Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC): free ICA online guide

Most travellers seeking immigration clearance in Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) before arrival through ICA's e-Service or MyICA app. ICA lists exemptions, including transit or transfer passengers who do not clear immigration and eligible residents entering via Woodlands or Tuas. SGAC is not a visa and ICA says submission is free.

SG Arrival Card by traveller market

SG Arrival Card India: Indian passport holders

Indian ordinary passport holders generally need a Singapore entry visa before travel, then the free SG Arrival Card when clearing Singapore immigration. SGAC does not replace Form 14A or an approved e-Visa.

SG Arrival Card Bangladesh: Bangladeshi passport holders

Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders generally need a Singapore entry visa before travel. SG Arrival Card is a separate free arrival declaration, not visa approval and not a paid filing service.

Indonesian travellers

Indonesian ordinary passport holders usually do not need Form 14A for an ordinary short visit, but most travellers who clear Singapore immigration still submit the free SG Arrival Card.

Malaysian travellers

Malaysian ordinary passport holders usually do not need a Singapore entry visa for an ordinary short visit. SGAC is still the free arrival declaration when ICA requires it; check exemptions for land-checkpoint resident routes.

Egyptian passport holders

Egyptian ordinary passport holders generally need a Singapore entry visa before travel, then the free SG Arrival Card when clearing immigration. SG Arrival Card Egypt searches should still separate Form 14A, LOI/Form V39A, e-Visa approval and the free arrival declaration.

Kazakhstan passport holders

Kazakhstan ordinary passport holders generally need a Singapore entry visa before travel. SG Arrival Card Kazakhstan searches should still separate Form 14A/e-Visa, any VFTF transit question and the free SGAC arrival declaration.

Travelling from the UAE or Dubai

For SG Arrival Card UAE and SG Arrival Card Dubai questions, the passport used for travel determines whether an entry visa is needed. Residence in the UAE does not replace the passport rule. Travellers who clear Singapore immigration generally submit the same free SGAC through ICA within the live submission window.

SG Arrival Card for Egypt and Kazakhstan travellers

Use these routes for searches such as "sg arrival card Egypt", "singapore arrival card Egypt", "sg arrival card Kazakhstan" and "singapore arrival card Kazakhstan". For ordinary Egypt or Kazakhstan passport trips that clear immigration, handle the Singapore entry visa and Form 14A route first, then complete the free SG Arrival Card before arrival.

SG Arrival Card for Indian travellers: visa first, SGAC later

Indian ordinary passport holders usually need a Singapore entry visa or e-Visa before the free SG Arrival Card. Use these routes to keep Form 14A, e-Visa status, SGAC timing and VFTF transit separate.

SG Arrival Card for Bangladesh and Pakistan travellers

Use these routes for searches such as "sg arrival card Bangladesh", "singapore arrival card Bangladesh", "sg arrival card Pakistan" and "singapore arrival card Pakistan". For visa-required Bangladesh or Pakistan passports, Form 14A, LOI/Form V39A, documents and e-Visa status come before the free SG Arrival Card declaration.

SG Arrival Card for UAE residents and Dubai travellers

Use these routes for searches such as "sg arrival card UAE", "singapore arrival card UAE", "sg arrival card Dubai" and "singapore arrival card Dubai". UAE residence is context, not the visa rule: check the passport or travel document first, then handle the free SG Arrival Card when entering Singapore.

SG Arrival Card for Malaysia and Indonesia travellers

Use these routes for searches such as "sg arrival card Malaysia", "singapore arrival card Malaysia", "sg arrival card Indonesia" and "singapore arrival card Indonesia". Ordinary Malaysian and Indonesian passport holders usually need the free SG Arrival Card, not paid Form 14A, while residents travelling on visa-required passports should check the passport route first.

SG Arrival Card for US and Philippines searches

Use these routes for searches such as "sg arrival card United States", "singapore arrival card United States", "sg arrival card Philippines" and "singapore arrival card Philippines". Keep the free SG Arrival Card separate from paid Form 14A, and switch to the passport-first visa check when the traveller uses a visa-required passport.

What travellers usually need to know

SG Arrival Card, SGAC, Singapore entry card and arrival declaration mean the same search intent

Travellers use different names in search: SG Arrival Card, SGAC, SGArrival, sgarrival card, Singapore arrival card, arrival card Singapore, Singapore entry card, digital arrival card, landing card, white card, Singapore arrival declaration and Singapore arrival card online application. In practice, the official route is ICA's SG Arrival Card submission before immigration clearance.

This page uses the common search terms so travellers can find the right free official flow and avoid paid pages that make SGAC look like a visa product.

Who submits it

Most travellers seeking immigration clearance in Singapore should submit SGAC before arrival. ICA lists exemptions, including transit or transfer passengers who do not seek immigration clearance and eligible residents entering through Woodlands or Tuas checkpoints.

Visa-free travellers may only need SGAC for a short visit. Visa-required travellers still need their Singapore entry visa before travel, then SGAC for the arrival declaration where ICA requires it.

What information the form asks for

Expect passport details, contact or accommodation in Singapore, travel details and a health declaration where required. Enter names and passport numbers exactly as shown in the passport.

If your flight, hotel or passport details change after submission, check the official ICA service for the current way to update or resubmit before arrival.

Why SGAC is not proof of visa approval

An SG Arrival Card acknowledgement is not a Singapore entry visa, not an e-Visa and not a guarantee of entry. It is a declaration record used before immigration clearance.

If your nationality requires a Singapore entry visa, prepare Form 14A and the permitted filing route separately. ICA officers still make the final checkpoint-entry decision.

Common SGAC mistakes to avoid

  • Paying a website just to access the free ICA SG Arrival Card flow.
  • Assuming SGAC replaces a Singapore entry visa for visa-required passports.
  • Submitting too early or relying on an old timing window without checking ICA.
  • Using passport details that do not exactly match the travel document.
  • Forgetting that a self-transfer or baggage collection can mean clearing immigration, not staying airside.

Frequently asked

What is the SG Arrival Card?

The SG Arrival Card, or SGAC, is ICA's free electronic arrival declaration for most travellers who clear Singapore immigration. It is submitted before arrival through the official ICA e-service or MyICA app, and it is separate from any Singapore entry visa requirement.

Is the SG Arrival Card a visa?

No. ICA says the SG Arrival Card is not a visa. It is a free electronic arrival declaration. Travellers who need a Singapore entry visa must still prepare the visa separately before travel.

Is the SG Arrival Card free?

Yes. ICA says SG Arrival Card submission is free through the official ICA e-service or MyICA Mobile app. Be careful with paid websites that make SGAC look like a paid Singapore visa.

When should I submit the SG Arrival Card?

ICA says travellers can submit SGAC within three days before arrival in Singapore, including the day of arrival. Check the official ICA page before travel in case the submission window changes.

Who needs to submit the SG Arrival Card?

Most travellers seeking immigration clearance in Singapore need to submit it. ICA lists exemptions, including transit or transfer passengers who do not clear immigration and certain residents entering through Woodlands or Tuas checkpoints.

Do Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Malaysian, Indonesian, Australian, United Kingdom (UK) or US travellers need SGAC?

In most ordinary trips, yes, if they are entering Singapore and clearing immigration. The visa question is separate and follows the passport: Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani passport holders usually need a Singapore entry visa before travel, while Malaysian, Indonesian, Australian, United Kingdom (UK) and US ordinary passport holders are generally visa-free for ordinary short visits but still use SGAC where required. UAE residence by itself does not decide the visa rule; the passport does.

Do I need to download the SG Arrival Card?

No separate card purchase or paid download is required. Submit through the official ICA e-service or MyICA Mobile app, then keep the acknowledgement or confirmation for your records.

What details are required for the SG Arrival Card online application?

Prepare passport details, travel dates, transport information, accommodation or Singapore address, contact details and the health declaration where ICA requires it. Copy details exactly from your passport and check the live ICA form before travel.

Can VisatoSingapore submit SG Arrival Card for me?

VisatoSingapore does not sell SG Arrival Card as a paid visa product. We explain the free official route and help visa-required travellers with Form 14A entry-visa preparation; SGAC itself should be submitted free through ICA.

Can I update SG Arrival Card after submission?

If your health status changes after you submit SGAC, ICA directs travellers to use Update SGAC in the official e-Service. For flight, accommodation or passport-detail changes, check the live ICA e-Service or MyICA before travel instead of relying on old screenshots or third-party advice.

Can I submit SG Arrival Card for a group or family?

ICA provides Group Submission for people travelling to Singapore together for one trip. Each traveller's passport, trip and health details still need to be accurate, and the SGAC acknowledgement is not visa approval or guaranteed entry.
