Do Indians need a visa for Singapore?
Yes. Indian ordinary passport holders need a Singapore entry visa before ordinary tourism, family visits, social visits and short business visits. A visa on arrival is not available for this route, so the application should be prepared before travel through a permitted channel.
Singapore tourist visa, visit visa, e-Visa and online visa are often different names for the same practical route: prepare Form 14A and the supporting documents, submit them through the channel that applies to you, and wait for ICA's decision. In India, applications are accepted through visa agents appointed by the Singapore Overseas Mission; some cases can instead use an eligible local contact in Singapore.
Can Indians apply for a Singapore visa online?
Part of the process is online: an appointed agent or eligible Singapore local contact submits the application through an ICA-linked service, and an approved visa is normally issued as a printable e-Visa. This does not mean every traveller can upload documents directly to ICA through a public form.
The filing route depends on where you apply. Check the Singapore Mission responsible for your region and its current list of appointed agents before you start. A Singapore local contact who submits through SAVE must meet the applicable eligibility and Singpass requirements.
How do you apply for a Singapore visa from India step by step?
First, confirm that the travel document needs an entry visa and that the trip is not only an eligible airside transit. Second, complete and sign Form 14A, then prepare the passport biodata copy, current photographs and any case-specific supporting documents requested by the official route.
Third, choose an authorised visa agent listed by the Singapore Overseas Mission responsible for your location, or use an eligible Singapore local-contact route where it genuinely applies. Fourth, let that permitted filer submit the application and keep the application reference. Fifth, check the result through the filer or ICA SAVE and, if approved, print the e-Visa. The free SG Arrival Card is a separate arrival declaration completed closer to travel; submission or payment does not mean approval or entry. ICA decides the visa result and checkpoint admission.
What documents are usually needed for Form 14A?
MFA New Delhi currently lists a signed Form 14A, a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and two colour passport photographs taken within the last three months. Form V39A, a Letter of Introduction or other supporting evidence may be requested for some applications.
Names and passport numbers must match the form, while travel dates should align with the itinerary and accommodation. Local-contact or agent details must be genuine and verifiable. Resolve any contradiction before the file is submitted.
How much does a Singapore visa cost for Indians?
For the New Delhi authorised-agent route, the High Commission currently lists an INR 2,100 non-refundable processing fee plus an INR 1,000 authorised-agent service fee. We checked those route-specific amounts on 3 August 2026; use the live Mission page before payment because fees and the agent list can change.
A VisatoSingapore preparation fee is separate and shown before checkout. The official SG Arrival Card is free, not a visa, and should not be folded into a visa quote. If you use ICA's e-Service through an eligible local contact or strategic partner instead, check the separate S$30 processing-fee wording on ICA's India page.
How long does a Singapore visa take for Indians?
VisatoSingapore's usual service estimate is 3–4 working days after submission to ICA. This is planning guidance, not an approval guarantee; incomplete documents, inconsistent details or additional checks can take longer.
Leave a comfortable buffer before departure and check the live guidance for your exact filing route. Mission or authorised-agent handling time can sit outside our ICA-submission estimate, and buying a ticket does not make the decision arrive sooner.
Where do Indian Singapore visa applications go wrong?
Delays often begin with ordinary inconsistencies: less than six months of passport validity, an outdated or unsuitable photograph, travel dates that do not match, unclear evidence of funds, or local-contact details that cannot be verified.
After a refusal, do not send the same file through another website straight away. First identify what has changed or what evidence is missing. There is no universal waiting period for every reapplication; the right timing depends on the case and the current official route.
Where VisatoSingapore fits for Indian travellers
VisatoSingapore helps Indian passport holders complete Form 14A, check the form against the passport and bookings, review the photograph, and assemble a consistent set of documents. We submit an application only where a permitted filing channel is available for that case.
We do not issue visas or promise approval. ICA decides the application, and checkpoint officers decide entry. Our responsibility is limited to document preparation and support through an available filing route.
