Singapore Visa for Indians: Tourist Visa, Form 14A & Fees

Indian ordinary passport holders generally need a Singapore entry visa before ordinary short-visit travel; visa on arrival is not available. Start with the live ICA India page, prepare Form 14A in English, keep passport, photo, funds, accommodation and travel dates consistent, then submit the free SG Arrival Card separately if clearing immigration. VFTF is only for qualifying third-country transit routes, not a backup tourist visa.

Document consistency check

India documents: use the country page and shared checklist together

Do not treat a country page, a Form 14A PDF or an old agent list as the whole file. Start with the passport-specific route, then use the shared checklist to catch mismatched names, dates, bookings, funds, local-contact details and SG Arrival Card confusion before filing.

Common questions for India travellers

India transit intent

VFTF Singapore for Indians: check transit before Form 14A

Indian passport holders should separate ordinary Singapore entry from a Changi transit. If you clear immigration during a genuine third-country transit, ICA's 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility may apply only when the route, onward air/ferry/cruise ticket and qualifying visa or long-term pass all match the live ICA conditions. VFTF is not a tourist visa, not visa on arrival and not guaranteed.

Application journey for India travellers

Start here to keep the trip planning simple. This sequence separates entry visas, the free SG Arrival Card, transit checks and long-term passes before you choose a filing route or lock in travel dates.

  1. 1

    Check the passport rule

Confirm the live ICA rule for your passport and travel document. Transit/VFTF can change the route, but it is not the same as an ordinary Singapore visit visa.

  2. 2

    Prepare Form 14A in English

Use passport-matching Latin letters for names, birth details, travel dates, Singapore address/local contact, occupation and visit purpose.

  3. 3

    Reconcile the supporting documents

Check passport validity, photo, itinerary, accommodation, funds/employment evidence and translations so the file tells one consistent story.

  4. 4

    Choose a permitted filing route

Use a real local contact, strategic partner, Singapore Overseas Mission, authorised visa agent, or VisatoSingapore where your case is eligible. Avoid fake sponsors.

  5. 5

    Travel with the right paperwork

If approved, carry the e-Visa with your passport and submit the free SG Arrival Card when ICA requires it. ICA still decides entry at the checkpoint.

How India travellers should choose a filing route

The steady path is current ICA guidance, a complete Form 14A and a real eligible filing route. We help you understand which route fits before you start the application.

Start with ICA and Mission rules

Use ICA and the relevant Singapore Overseas Mission for live requirements, fees, forms, VFTF, SG Arrival Card, and final decisions. VisatoSingapore explains the route; it does not replace official rules.

Use VisatoSingapore for eligible Form 14A cases

We prepare Form 14A, review document mismatches, guide the local-contact route, and submit eligible entry-visa cases through the permitted path. ICA decides approval and entry.

Use DIY only with a real local contact

DIY can work if you have a real Singapore contact with Singpass/Corppass or another permitted route. A hotel booking, copied sponsor details, or fake contact is not a safe route.

Do not mix this with work, study, or family passes

This page is about Singapore travel/entry visas and Form 14A. Work passes, Student's Pass, Dependant's Pass, and long-term family routes are separate ICA or MOM processes; our pages on those topics are informational.

Frequently asked

How much is a Singapore visa for Indians?

For the New Delhi authorised-agent route, confirm the current non-refundable processing fee, authorised-agent service charge and appointed-agent list on the High Commission's live Visa information page before payment. Check ICA's live India page separately if the Singapore e-Service route applies. Any VisatoSingapore preparation fee is shown separately, the official SG Arrival Card remains free, and no payment guarantees approval or entry.

Is a package price enough for Singapore visa proof?

No. A package quote can help explain the trip, but a visa file still needs consistent Form 14A details, travel dates, accommodation or host information, funds evidence and the permitted filing route. SG Arrival Card is free and separate from the visa.

Does my passport need minimum validity?

Your passport should be valid for at least six months from your date of entry into Singapore. ICA may request additional documents case by case.

Is the Singapore e-Visa a stamp in my passport?

No. For Indian applicants, Singapore issues the visa electronically. If approved, you carry the printed e-Visa with your passport; ICA still makes the final entry decision at the checkpoint.

Do Indians need a visa for Singapore?

Yes. Indian citizens and Indian ordinary passport holders need a Singapore entry visa before ordinary short visits. Diplomatic, official and service passports are treated differently. Apply before travel through a permitted route and check the live ICA India and Singapore High Commission pages before you file.

Do Indian citizens need both a visa and SG Arrival Card?

In ordinary short-visit travel, Indian ordinary passport holders need a Singapore entry visa before travel, and most travellers who clear immigration also submit the free SG Arrival Card before arrival. Verify both requirements on ica.gov.sg before you fly.

Can Indians use Singapore's 96-hour VFTF?

Indian nationals may use ICA's 96-hour VFTF only when transiting to or from a third country, departing Singapore by air or sea within 96 hours, and holding a visa or long-term pass from Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the United States that is valid for at least one month from entry. ICA publishes a narrow direct-return exception for a used Single Journey Visa; do not assume it applies. VFTF is not pre-approved, and ICA decides entry at the checkpoint.

Can I reapply after a rejection?

After a refusal you're usually advised to wait, fix what went wrong, and reapply with a stronger application; how long to wait depends on the case, so check current ICA guidance rather than assuming a fixed period. A complete, accurate first application is the best way to avoid that situation.

Does ICA guarantee a fixed processing time for Indian applications?

No fixed timeline should be treated as guaranteed. Processing depends on ICA, the filing route, document consistency and any follow-up checks, so apply with buffer time and verify the current guidance on ica.gov.sg.

Can I check Singapore visa status with only my passport number?

Do not rely on passport number alone as a universal status check. The permitted submitter usually needs the application reference and passport details through ICA's official e-Service or the filing route that submitted the Form 14A.

Can I use a selfie or cropped travel photo for Form 14A?

Do not rely on a selfie or casual crop. Use a recent passport-style photo that follows ICA's current specifications, including the background, face visibility and file rules shown on the official ICA guidance.

What is the safest application sequence from India?

Check that your passport needs a visa, prepare Form 14A in English, reconcile passport, trip and document details, submit through a permitted route, then submit the free SG Arrival Card before travel if you will clear Singapore immigration.
