How long does a Singapore visa take to process from India?

VisatoSingapore Editorial TeamReviewed Aug 20, 2026

Short answer

ICA's current India visa page states that visa applications are processed within three working days, excluding the day of submission; some applications may take longer and each is considered on its own merits. Add your preparation and filing time before travel.

The honest planning rule is to apply well ahead of your trip rather than against the clock. Peak travel periods, public holidays, and incomplete applications all stretch the wait, and none of those speed up once the file is with ICA.

Where we genuinely save time is before submission, by validating every field so the application isn't bounced back over a fixable error. For the current official guidance on processing times, check ica.gov.sg.

Country-specific timing check

India processing check: count from the filing route, not from planning

For Indian applicants, timing depends on the route that actually submits Form 14A, such as the ICA e-Service path, authorised-agent context or another permitted submitter.

  • Start the clock only after the application is complete enough to be filed, including photo, passport biodata and trip evidence.
  • Leave buffer for weekends, public holidays, route-specific handling and any ICA follow-up instead of treating a guide as a guarantee.
  • Keep SG Arrival Card and VFTF checks outside the visa-processing timeline; they do not prove the e-Visa is ready.

Frequently asked

Does ICA guarantee a fixed processing time for Indian applications?
No fixed timeline should be treated as guaranteed. Processing depends on ICA, the filing route, document consistency and any follow-up checks, so apply with buffer time and verify the current guidance on ica.gov.sg.
