Singapore Visa for Kazakhstan: Requirements & Form 14A

Kazakhstan citizens travelling on ordinary passports need a Singapore entry visa for ordinary visits. ICA's Kazakhstan page exempts diplomatic, official and service passports, but that exemption does not apply to an ordinary passport. Apply before travel and keep the SG Arrival Card and the conditional 96-hour VFTF transit route separate from the entry visa.

Do not confuse this with the 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility. ICA lists Kazakhstan under the CIS group for VFTF, which may apply only when the itinerary is a genuine transit to or from a third country and the traveller meets the current conditions. For an ordinary Singapore stay, prepare the entry visa route instead.

Document consistency check

Kazakhstan documents: use the country page and shared checklist together

Do not treat a country page, a Form 14A PDF or an old agent list as the whole file. Start with the passport-specific route, then use the shared checklist to catch mismatched names, dates, bookings, funds, local-contact details and SG Arrival Card confusion before filing.

Common Singapore visa questions for Kazakhstan passport holders

Start with short answers about entry-visa need, Form 14A, documents, VFTF transit, e-Visa and refusal-risk checks, then open the detailed guide for the step you need.

Do Kazakhstan passport holders need a Singapore visa?

Holders of ordinary passports issued by Kazakhstan need a Singapore entry visa before an ordinary short visit. Other passport or travel-document types may follow different rules. Verify the exact document on ICA's live country page before paying or booking tight travel.

Singapore Visa Requirements for Kazakhstan

What is the core checklist for Kazakhstan passport holders?

Prepare the current ICA checklist: passport, completed Form 14A, recent passport-style photo, travel plan, accommodation or contact details where relevant, and evidence that the short visit is funded.

Singapore Visa Documents for Kazakhstan

Can Kazakhstan passport holders rely on Singapore's 96-hour VFTF?

Transit is route-specific. Under ICA's separate CIS/Georgia/Turkmenistan/Ukraine VFTF route, Kazakhstan passport holders must be in transit to or from a third country, hold a confirmed onward air ticket and depart Singapore by air within 96 hours. ICA does not publish the India/PRC qualifying-visa or long-term-pass condition for this group. VFTF is not pre-approved; ICA decides entry at the checkpoint.

Singapore Transit Visa for Kazakhstan

What is the safest application sequence for Kazakhstan passport holders?

Confirm the visa requirement on ICA, prepare Form 14A in English, reconcile passport and trip evidence, submit through a permitted route, then complete the free SG Arrival Card if clearing Singapore immigration.

Singapore Visa Application for Kazakhstan passport holders

Is the Singapore e-Visa a passport stamp for Kazakhstan passport holders?

No. Where approved, the Singapore entry visa is issued electronically and is usually printed or retrieved by the permitted submitter. It is not a checkpoint-entry guarantee; ICA decides entry at arrival.

Singapore e-Visa for Kazakhstan Passport Holders

Can I find out why ICA rejected my visa?

ICA says visa refusal reasons are confidential and does not disclose them. Review the actual decision and submitted documents, but do not treat a possible document error as the confirmed reason for refusal.

Common questions for Kazakhstan travellers

What is different for Kazakh passport holders

The checks below are specific to Kazakh passport holders and the routes they usually take. Each one links to the full answer.

Kazakhstan visa requirements: passport type and transit route

ICA requires an entry visa for a Kazakhstan-issued ordinary travel document, wherever its holder lives. Diplomatic, official and service passports issued by Kazakhstan are exempt from that visa requirement.

What to check (3)
  • For a visa-required visit, ICA lists a signed Form 14A, a colour photo taken within the last three months and a passport biodata copy; further documents may be requested case by case.
  • Check who may submit the application: a strategic partner or local contact in Singapore, or a Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised agent. The filing procedure abroad depends on the chosen Mission.
  • A Kazakhstani national transiting to or from a third country may qualify for the 96-hour VFTF with a valid onward air ticket departing within 96 hours. ICA decides entry at the checkpoint; this is separate from an ordinary visit visa.

Kazakhstan documents: entry visa or 96-hour transit

For a Kazakhstan-issued ordinary passport, build the entry-visa file around ICA's current document list. Residence outside Kazakhstan may change where the traveller files, but does not remove the passport-based visa requirement.

What to check (3)
  • For the visa application, prepare a signed Form 14A, a colour photo taken within the last three months and a passport biodata copy valid for at least six months from entry. ICA may ask for more evidence.
  • Use the passport's Latin spelling in Form 14A and travel records. Include official English translations for supporting documents written in Kazakh or Russian under ICA's rules.
  • For a possible CIS VFTF case, check the third-country transit and onward air ticket departing Singapore within 96 hours separately. That route has different evidence from the ordinary Form 14A application.

Kazakhstan fee check: separate CIS/VFTF and Form 14A costs

For Kazakhstani passport holders, fees should be discussed only after the route is clear: normal Singapore entry and transit/VFTF are not the same paid path.

What to check (3)
  • Do not price VFTF as a guaranteed paid service; it is a narrow ICA facility assessed against the exact route.
  • For ordinary entry, keep official or route fees separate from VisatoSingapore's Form 14A preparation support.
  • Avoid fixed local-currency conversions unless they come from the live authority or permitted route being used.

Kazakhstan e-Visa check: Almaty/Astana printout is not VFTF proof

For Kazakhstani passport holders, the e-Visa printout belongs to the ordinary Singapore entry file; Almaty, Astana or third-country departure evidence and CIS/VFTF proof belong in a different route check.

What to check (4)
  • Use the e-Visa result only for the approved Singapore entry window, not as proof that a 96-hour VFTF route works.
  • Keep qualifying-document evidence, route direction and onward transport outside the printout check until the transit question is being reviewed.
  • Carry the printout with the passport, stay address, funds evidence and the same Almaty/Astana or third-country departure details used in the entry application.
  • Do not let a Kazakhstan residence card, Gulf connection or onward-country visa replace the Singapore stay evidence attached to the printout.

Kazakhstan photo check: keep CIS/VFTF separate from Form 14A

For Kazakhstani passport holders, the photo page should not blur ordinary Singapore entry filing with narrow CIS/VFTF transit checks.

What to check (3)
  • For entry, prepare a recent passport-style photo with the Form 14A file and verify the live ICA image specification.
  • For a VFTF-style route, check the route conditions separately before spending time on entry-visa photo preparation.
  • Keep the photo file aligned with passport spelling, stay evidence and onward travel for the same Singapore visit.

Kazakhstan processing check: keep VFTF outside the visa clock

For Kazakhstani passport holders, ordinary Singapore entry processing and a CIS/VFTF-style transit assessment are different timing questions.

What to check (3)
  • For entry, count from the completed Form 14A submission through the permitted filing route.
  • For VFTF, check current ICA conditions against the exact onward route rather than using visa-processing language.
  • Keep enough buffer for passport spelling, stay evidence and onward-document review before departure.

Kazakhstan transit check: Almaty or Astana routing needs exact evidence

For Kazakhstani passport holders, a CIS/VFTF route question should be tested against the actual Almaty, Astana or third-country routing, not as a replacement for entry filing.

What to check (4)
  • Confirm whether the traveller enters Singapore, stays airside or asks for VFTF before any paid visa step.
  • Keep qualifying-document evidence, onward transport, route direction and Almaty/Astana or third-country departure context together when VFTF is the possible route.
  • If the itinerary includes a Singapore stay, move back to Form 14A with stay, funds, passport spelling and onward evidence.
  • Do not let a 96-hour label hide a separate-ticket re-check-in or baggage collection step at Changi.

Kazakhstan status check: separate Almaty/Astana route evidence from retrieval

For Kazakhstani passport holders, a useful status check starts with who filed Form 14A, then keeps Almaty, Astana, third-country or CIS/VFTF route evidence outside the retrieval task.

What to check (4)
  • Keep the authorised submitter, application reference and passport details together for result retrieval.
  • If VFTF is being considered, store the qualifying document and onward sector as a separate route file.
  • Compare the retrieved result with the actual Singapore arrival date, not only with the first departure airport in the itinerary.
  • Do not let SG Arrival Card acknowledgement or an e-Pass after arrival stand in for pre-travel e-Visa approval.

Kazakhstan application check: separate entry filing from the 96-hour route

For Kazakhstani passport holders, a useful application route separates ordinary Singapore entry filing from any narrow CIS/VFTF-style 96-hour transit assessment.

What to check (3)
  • For Singapore entry, prepare Form 14A, photo, passport, stay, funds and onward-travel evidence as one coherent file.
  • For transit or VFTF questions, keep qualifying-document evidence, route direction and departure country outside the paid application path.
  • Use the country hub to move between requirements, documents, fees and e-Visa status without mixing entry filing with the transit route.

Kazakhstan rejection check: keep CIS/VFTF and entry evidence apart

For Kazakhstani passport holders, refusal-risk review should not blur a narrow CIS/VFTF route with an ordinary Singapore entry-visa file.

What to check (3)
  • For entry, review Form 14A, photo, stay, funds and onward evidence as one coherent file.
  • For VFTF, assess route and qualifying documents separately instead of reusing refusal wording.
  • Make city, residence and contact details match the same Singapore visit before resubmission.

VFTF Singapore for Kazakhstan passport holders: check transit before Form 14A

Kazakhstan passport holders may qualify for ICA's 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility when in transit to or from a third country. Under ICA's conditions for CIS, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Ukraine, you need a valid onward air ticket departing Singapore within 96 hours. Departure must be by air. An extension of stay is not allowed. ICA assesses entry at the checkpoint; meeting the conditions does not guarantee entry.

Application journey for Kazakhstan travellers

Start here to keep the trip planning simple. This sequence separates entry visas, the free SG Arrival Card, transit checks and long-term passes before you choose a filing route or lock in travel dates.

  1. 1

    Check the passport rule

Confirm the live ICA rule for your passport and travel document. Transit/VFTF can change the route, but it is not the same as an ordinary Singapore visit visa.

  2. 2

    Prepare Form 14A in English

Use passport-matching Latin letters for names, birth details, travel dates, Singapore address/local contact, occupation and visit purpose.

  3. 3

    Reconcile the supporting documents

Check passport validity, photo, itinerary, accommodation, funds/employment evidence and translations so the file tells one consistent story.

  4. 4

    Choose a permitted filing route

Use a real local contact, strategic partner, Singapore Overseas Mission, authorised visa agent, or VisatoSingapore where your case is eligible. Avoid fake sponsors.

  5. 5

    Travel with the right paperwork

If approved, carry the e-Visa with your passport and submit the free SG Arrival Card when ICA requires it. ICA still decides entry at the checkpoint.

How Kazakhstan travellers should choose a filing route

The steady path is current ICA guidance, a complete Form 14A and a real eligible filing route. We help you understand which route fits before you start the application.

Start with ICA and Mission rules

Use ICA and the relevant Singapore Overseas Mission for live requirements, fees, forms, VFTF, SG Arrival Card, and final decisions. VisatoSingapore explains the route; it does not replace official rules.

Use VisatoSingapore for eligible Form 14A cases

We prepare Form 14A, review document mismatches, guide the local-contact route, and submit eligible entry-visa cases through the permitted path. ICA decides approval and entry.

Use DIY only with a real local contact

DIY can work if you have a real Singapore contact with Singpass/Corppass or another permitted route. A hotel booking, copied sponsor details, or fake contact is not a safe route.

Do not mix this with work, study, or family passes

This page is about Singapore travel/entry visas and Form 14A. Work passes, Student's Pass, Dependant's Pass, and long-term family routes are separate ICA or MOM processes; our pages on those topics are informational.

Frequently asked

Are Singapore visa fees fixed for Kazakhstan passport holders?

Official processing fees and mission or filing-route practices can change. Treat any summary as subject to live ICA or Mission verification before payment.

Can Kazakhstan passport holders use a phone photo for Form 14A?

A clear phone photo may work if it matches ICA's current passport-style requirements. Verify the live ICA photo specification before submission because upload and image rules can change.

Is Singapore visa processing time fixed for Kazakhstan passport holders?

No. Timing depends on the live ICA or Mission route, submission quality and any follow-up checks. Apply with buffer and verify current official guidance before booking tight travel.

Can Kazakhstan passport holders check Singapore visa status by passport number only?

Do not rely on passport-number-only status sites. A legitimate check usually depends on the application reference, passport details and the permitted route that submitted Form 14A.

How long do I have to appeal a Singapore visa rejection?

ICA's published procedure sets a deadline of one month from the rejection. The enquiry-form appeal requires a passport biodata copy, a signed reconsideration letter from the Singapore local contact explaining the request, other supporting documents and the issue date of that contact's NRIC. Confirm the applicable procedure with the party that filed your application; do not assume a new application replaces an appeal.

Form 14A package

$29USD · Preparation service

Your eligible local contact or authorised Mission route submits it

Official processing charge for your filing route paid separately

They submit through the applicable ICA or Mission route, pay its official fee separately and confirm submission from our e-mail. We don't file it.

The US$29 package prepares your Form 14A and, once your flight and hotel bookings, photo and passport page are uploaded, e-mails the ready file to your eligible Singapore local contact or visa agent. They submit through the ICA or Mission route available to your case and pay that route's official processing charge separately. They can confirm submission with one click. We do not file on this plan. If you have neither route, check Full support eligibility before paying.

Best for: You already have a Singapore local contact with SingPass, or a visa agency, to submit it.
