Singapore visa for Kazakhstan citizens: 2026

Kazakhstan citizens travelling on ordinary passports need a Singapore entry visa for ordinary visits. ICA's Kazakhstan page exempts diplomatic, official and service passports, but that exemption does not apply to an ordinary passport. Apply before travel and keep the SG Arrival Card and the conditional 96-hour VFTF transit route separate from the entry visa.

Do not confuse this with the 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility. ICA lists Kazakhstan under the CIS group for VFTF, which may apply only when the itinerary is a genuine transit to or from a third country and the traveller meets the current conditions. For an ordinary Singapore stay, prepare the entry visa route instead.

For transit to or from a third country, Kazakhstan citizens may qualify under ICA's CIS rules. You need a valid onward air ticket with departure from Singapore within 96 hours. Arrival can be by any means of transport, but you must leave by air.

You must also meet Singapore's entry requirements; ICA officers decide admission at the checkpoint. A stay under VFTF cannot be extended. The separate requirement for a qualifying visa or long-term pass applies to Indian nationals and holders of selected PRC travel documents, not to Kazakhstan's CIS route.

For business or social visits, ICA lists a completed and signed Form 14A as the core application form. If the application is approved, the local contact, strategic partner or authorised visa agent can use ICA's e-Service to print a copy of the e-Visa.

A Singapore entry visa is pre-entry permission to travel and seek entry. It is separate from SG Arrival Card, and it does not guarantee entry or a fixed stay period; ICA officers at the checkpoint decide the Visit Pass period and whether the traveller may enter.

ICA's Kazakhstan page lists Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction for Visa Application (LOI), as possible additional evidence. It may be required case by case, rather than for every applicant. First confirm whether a local contact, strategic partner or Singapore Overseas Mission can accept your application from your place of residence, then follow that route's current instructions.

Prepare a completed and signed Form 14A, a passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months, and a copy of the passport biodata page. The passport itself must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry. ICA may request additional documents for your case.

ICA requires original documents and copies to retain, plus official English translations for documents in other languages. Check the name order, passport number, travel dates, accommodation and visit purpose against Form 14A before submitting.

ICA accepts translations provided by the embassy of the country or place that issued the document, or produced by a notary public in Singapore or in the issuing country or place.

ICA advises applying within the 30 days before arrival in Singapore. This is a recommended application window, not a processing time or a promise of approval before departure.

ICA lists a non-refundable S$30 processing fee and says visa applications are processed within three working days, excluding the day of submission. ICA also notes that some applications may take longer and that each case is considered on its own merits, so use this as planning guidance, not a guarantee.

Applications can be submitted online through a strategic partner or local contact in Singapore, or through the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised visa agent where that procedure applies. Because mission and authorised-agent procedures can change, verify the live route before relying on a summary or booking around a tight timeline.

An ordinary Kazakhstan passport needs the entry-visa route for an ordinary visit. ICA separately exempts diplomatic, official and service passports, so a family travelling on different passport types may not all receive the same answer. Check each traveller's document rather than copying the lead passenger's result.

Every traveller who does need a visa has a separate Form 14A record. Names, passport numbers, photographs and supporting evidence must belong to that person even when accommodation and travel dates are shared.
