Do Indonesians need a visa for Singapore? SG Arrival Card guide
Short answer
Indonesian ordinary passport holders generally do not need a Singapore entry visa or Form 14A for ordinary short visits. They still need the free SG Arrival Card and must meet entry requirements.

For Indonesian ordinary passport holders, the practical answer is usually no: you do not prepare a Singapore entry visa or Form 14A for an ordinary short visit. ICA's visa-required list says travellers need a valid Singapore entry visa only if their travel document is issued by one of the listed countries or places; Indonesia is not on that list as reviewed on 2 July 2026.
That answer belongs to the ordinary Indonesian passport and a short visitor purpose. A refugee travel document, document of identity or another country's passport needs its own check. Work, study and residence use separate pass routes even when the traveller is Indonesian.
Flying from Indonesia or arriving by ferry: the same passport rule
The visa answer does not change because the trip starts by air from Jakarta or Bali or by sea from Batam or Bintan. An ordinary Indonesian passport normally uses the visa-free short-visit route; the transport only changes the checkpoint and the journey details entered in the SG Arrival Card.

Foreign visitors arriving by sea are not covered by ICA's land-checkpoint exemption for Singapore residents. Submit the free SG Arrival Card within ICA's live three-day window and enter the actual ferry or flight details rather than copying an old trip.
Worked case: Batam ferry for a weekend visit
An Indonesian family travels from Batam by ferry, clears immigration in Singapore and returns two days later. The ordinary passports do not create Form 14A applications, but each traveller still needs a valid individual travel document and the family should submit the free SG Arrival Card for that arrival. The return booking, Singapore accommodation and stated purpose should describe the same weekend trip.
If the sailing changes after submission, update the SGAC through ICA's official service. The acknowledgement is not an approval or a Visit Pass; ICA decides entry and sends the e-Pass after clearance to the email declared in SGAC.
Residence in Indonesia does not change another passport
An Indonesian residence permit does not make a visa-required foreign passport visa-free. For example, an Indian passport holder living in Surabaya checks ICA's India visa route and the procedure serving the place of residence before travel, then submits SGAC only after the visa question is resolved.
Conversely, an Indonesian citizen should use the Indonesian passport that will actually be presented at the checkpoint for the eligibility check. A flight booking, residence card or second expired passport is not the document ICA uses for that arrival.
What to have ready at the sea or air checkpoint
Visa-free travel does not guarantee admission. Carry the passport used in SGAC, a return or onward plan, accommodation details and funds that make sense for the stay. Ferry and flight details should match the arrival declaration.
After clearance, read the e-Pass for the stay ICA actually granted. Do not use a previous visit's e-Pass, the SGAC acknowledgement or a return-ticket date as the legal last day of stay.
Do not buy Form 14A for an ordinary Indonesian passport
For an ordinary Indonesian passport and ordinary short visit, VisatoSingapore has no entry-visa application to sell or file. Use ICA's free SGAC channel and meet the entry requirements.
If you live in Indonesia but travel on a visa-required passport, check that passport's route first. We may help prepare an eligible Form 14A case, but we do not issue visas or SGAC and cannot promise checkpoint entry.
Plan the visa-free trip
Indonesia passport, SG Arrival Card and entry-visa routes
Ordinary Indonesian passport holders generally do not need paid short-visit visa help. Plan the separate free SG Arrival Card, and use the visa route only for a different passport that actually requires an entry visa.
