Yes. Uzbekistanis travelling on ordinary passports need a Singapore entry visa before an ordinary visit. ICA exempts holders of Uzbek diplomatic passports, but that exemption does not cover ordinary or service passports.

The entry visa is permission to travel to Singapore and ask to enter. It is not the free SG Arrival Card, a Visit Pass or a guarantee of admission. ICA officers make the final entry decision at the checkpoint.

Singapore visa requirements for Uzbek citizens

For a business or social visit, prepare a completed and signed Form 14A, a recent passport-sized colour photo taken within the last three months and a copy of the passport biodata page. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the planned date of entry.

ICA may request more evidence. Documents that are not in English need the original and an official English translation, with copies for ICA to retain. Keep names, passport details, travel dates, accommodation and contact information consistent across the file.

Form 14A, LOI and permitted filing routes

An application may be submitted online by a strategic partner or a genuine local contact in Singapore. The other official path is the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised visa agent, where that procedure is available for the applicant's location.

Unbranded application form, passport wallet and pen arranged for a document check

Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction for Visa Application, is an additional document that ICA may request case by case. Do not buy a signature, use a hotel as a made-up sponsor or invent a local contact. Confirm the permitted route first, then prepare only the documents that route requires.

Can Uzbekistanis use the 96-hour VFTF?

Uzbekistan is in ICA's CIS group for the Visa-Free Transit Facility. An Uzbek national may be eligible for up to 96 hours only when travelling through Singapore to or from a third country, holding a valid onward air ticket that leaves within 96 hours and departing Singapore by air.

VFTF is assessed at the point of entry and cannot be extended. It is not a substitute for a visa when Singapore is the destination rather than a genuine transit stop. Separate tickets, baggage collection or an overnight connection should be checked against the live ICA conditions before travel.

Diplomatic is exempt; Uzbek service passports are not

ICA's Uzbekistan exemption is limited to diplomatic passports. An ordinary or service passport still needs the entry-visa route for an ordinary visit. Check the exact document type printed in the passport instead of relying on an employer title or an assumption that every official trip is exempt.

Worked itinerary: destination and transit produce different answers

An Uzbek ordinary-passport holder flying to Singapore for four nights and then returning home needs the entry visa because Singapore is the destination. A traveller passing through Singapore on the way to a third country may test the trip against VFTF, but only if the onward air ticket, 96-hour limit and air-departure conditions all fit.

Fee, processing time and our service estimate

ICA's visa processing fee is S$30 and is not refundable. ICA says applications are generally processed within three working days, excluding the day of submission. Some cases take longer, and every application is considered on its own merits.

For eligible cases we support, VisatoSingapore's customer-facing estimate is 3–4 working days after submission to ICA. This is not a promise of approval or a fixed e-Visa issue time. ICA may take longer.

Before the application is submitted

Compare every name with the passport, including its order and Latin spelling. Recheck the passport number, dates, accommodation, occupation, funds evidence and any local-contact or mission paperwork. If a translated document uses a different spelling, resolve it before filing instead of leaving ICA to guess.

VisatoSingapore can prepare Form 14A and review documents for eligible cases. We are an independent support service, not ICA or MFA, and we do not sell local contacts. ICA decides the visa application and Singapore officers decide entry.

e-Visa, SG Arrival Card and entry

If ICA approves the application, the local contact, strategic partner or authorised visa agent can print the e-Visa through ICA's e-Service. Keep the e-Visa with the passport when travelling; it is not a visa on arrival and does not replace checkpoint clearance.

Submit the free SG Arrival Card separately within the official arrival window. SGAC is an arrival declaration, not a visa application. After entry, the Visit Pass or e-Pass records the stay granted by ICA.
