Single, double or multiple-entry: which Singapore visa?
What each visa type means, who genuinely needs multiple-entry, and why ICA — not you, and not us — decides which one you actually get.
When you fill in Form 14A you're asked what type of visa you want — single, double, triple or multiple journey. It's worth understanding what you're actually choosing, and what you're not.
What each type means
A single-journey visa lets you enter Singapore once within its validity. Double and triple let you enter twice or three times. A multiple-journey visa lets you come and go many times over a longer validity period — useful if you'll be back repeatedly.
Who genuinely needs multiple-entry
Frequent business travellers, people using Singapore as a regional hub, those with recurring meetings or family visits. If you're taking one holiday, a single-journey visa is the honest fit — and asking for more than you need doesn't strengthen an application.
ICA decides, not you
Here's the part to be clear-eyed about: you can apply for a multiple-entry visa, but ICA grants the type it judges appropriate. You might apply for multiple and be granted single. Nobody can promise you a multiple-entry visa — and you should be wary of anyone who does.
How to make the strongest case
A genuine multiple-entry case is built, not claimed: a real travel history, business letters or an employer's support, and financials that show the pattern is ongoing. That's exactly what our Multiple-entry plan prepares — we put together the strongest possible case for it, while being honest that the decision is always ICA's.
