  • ICA — Egypt visa requirements
  • ICA — Entry visa requirements
  • ICA — SG Arrival Card

Egyptian passport holders should plan for a Singapore entry visa before travel. ICA's Egypt page says holders of diplomatic passports do not need a visa for entry, but ordinary passport travellers should treat the trip as visa-required unless their document type clearly falls under an exemption.

The visa is not the same as permission to stay. It lets you travel to Singapore and seek entry; the Visit Pass period and final entry decision are handled at the checkpoint, and SG Arrival Card remains a separate free ICA requirement for most visitors.

How Form 14A and the e-Visa route works

For social or business visits, ICA lists a completed and signed Form 14A as the core application form. If the application is approved, a local contact, strategic partner or authorised visa agent can use ICA's e-Service to print a copy of the e-Visa.

That is why the process is often described as an online Singapore visa for Egyptians, but the route matters as much as the PDF. The application should be submitted through a permitted channel, and the form details should match the passport, travel plan and supporting documents.

Form V39A, LOI and local contact rules

ICA's Egypt guidance lists a completed Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction for Visa Application, as part of the document set. ICA says the LOI may be issued by a Singapore local contact; for social visits, that contact must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, at least 21 years old, with a Singpass account.

For business visits, the local contact must act on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity. If you cannot secure an LOI from a local contact, ICA says LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted for social and business visits. A hotel address is not the same thing as a real LOI route.

Documents Egyptian travellers should prepare

The core set is a completed Form 14A, a recent passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months, a photocopy of the passport biodata page valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and the LOI route where required. ICA may ask for additional supporting documents case by case.

Documents in languages other than English may need originals, official translations and copies for ICA to retain. Make the file easy to verify: names, passport numbers, travel dates, accommodation, host details, business purpose and funds evidence should all point in the same direction.

Fees, timing and route choice

ICA lists a non-refundable S$30 processing fee and says visa applications are processed within three working days, excluding the day of submission. It also notes that some applications may take longer and that each case is considered on its own merits, so treat the timing as planning guidance rather than a guarantee.

You can apply online through a strategic partner or local contact in Singapore, or through the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised visa agent where that procedure applies. Mission and local-agent handling can change, so check the live route before relying on any summary.

Before filing: verify the LOI and itinerary

Confirm that the LOI follows the accepted local-contact or Embassy route described above and that the contact details are reachable. Then compare the passport details, photo, travel dates, bookings, accommodation and funds evidence with Form 14A.

Worked case: Egyptian family visit without an eligible Singapore host

An Egyptian ordinary-passport holder visiting relatives first checks whether one relative is a Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged at least 21 with Singpass. If so, that genuine contact may provide the social-visit LOI and the relationship, address and dates should match Form 14A.

If no eligible local contact exists, ICA's Egypt guidance accepts an Embassy-issued LOI for social or business visits. Arrange that route before treating the rest of the checklist as complete; a hotel booking cannot stand in for Form V39A.

Arabic-to-English identity check

Use the Latin name from the Egyptian travel document on Form 14A, Form V39A and bookings. An official English translation of an Arabic record should keep the same spelling or explain the difference clearly.
