Singapore में stay extend या pass बदलना: Visit Pass, Student's Pass और work pass routes

अगर आप पहले से Singapore में हैं और ज्यादा समय चाहिए, तो सबसे पहले देखें कि आपके पास अभी कौन सा pass है। Short-Term Visit Pass, Student's Pass, Dependant's Pass और work pass अलग permissions हैं और इनके routes अलग हैं। Tourist stay को मनचाहे status में simply convert नहीं किया जा सकता।
Safe question practical है: मेरा current pass कब expire हो रहा है, आगे मैं क्या करना चाहता हूं, और कौनसी authority उस route को handle करती है? Visitor के लिए यह आम तौर पर Visit Pass extension के लिए ICA, study के लिए ICA, और work के लिए employer के through MOM होता है। Plan clear होने तक overstay न करें।
Short-Term Visit Pass extend करना
ICA कहता है कि STVP extension applications online submit होती हैं, walk-in नहीं, और pass में 14 days या उससे कम validity बची हो तब apply किया जा सकता है। ICA हर request को facts पर assess करता है और nationality, family links या medical reasons के अनुसार local sponsor या extra documents मांग सकता है। Fees, processing time और payment rules subject to change हैं, इसलिए current instructions ica.gov.sg पर verify करें।
Visit से study route
Student's Pass route Singapore में approved full-time course में admission से शुरू होता है। ICA notes कि कुछ short courses Short-Term Visit Pass पर तभी attend किए जा सकते हैं जब वे official criteria में fit हों, जैसे pass validity या 30 days, whichever is shorter, के भीतर complete हों और certain practical occupational training शामिल न हो। Course इन limits में नहीं आता तो start करने से पहले Student's Pass route check करें।
Visit से work route
MOM कहता है कि Singapore में work शुरू करने से पहले foreigners के पास valid work pass होना चाहिए। Employment Pass, S Pass और ज्यादातर Work Permit routes में employer या appointed employment agent apply करता है; यह self-service visitor extension नहीं है। MOM की Employment Pass guidance यह भी कहती है कि employer apply करते समय candidate का Singapore में होना जरूरी नहीं है, और employer को candidate को approval के बाद ही लाना चाहिए।
Student's Pass और DP holders क्या कर सकते हैं
Student's Pass study के लिए है, general work visa नहीं। MOM कुछ Student's Pass holders को केवल specific conditions में काम की अनुमति देता है, जैसे listed institution में full-time student होना, vacation के दौरान काम, या school-term limits के भीतर रहना। Exchange students और training-attachment students पर अलग restrictions हैं, और सही permission के बिना काम करना offence है।
Dependant's Pass भी open permission to work नहीं है। MOM कहता है कि DP holders को work के लिए सही work pass चाहिए, जैसे employer के through EP, S Pass या DP-Work Permit, या eligible business owners के लिए Letter of Consent route। ICA-issued LTVP/LTVP+ holders के लिए LOC, PLOC या Work Permit routes पर अलग MOM rules हैं। काम accept करने से पहले mom.gov.sg पर current rule verify करें।
Bad-status gap से कैसे बचें
सबसे पहले expiry date रखें। Visitor के रूप में कुछ extra days चाहिए तो STVP expire होने से पहले ICA extension route check करें। अगर school शुरू कर रहे हैं, confirm करें कि आपके course को Student's Pass चाहिए या नहीं। अगर job offer है, employer से पूछें कि कौन सा MOM pass apply होगा और क्या approval तक Singapore के बाहर wait करना चाहिए।
